Winding Down

Well, this topic came up last night, but I was too tired to write about it.  I am almost too tired to write about it tonight.  But last night, I went out to a musical comedy and returned home after 11 PM. It was a wonderful experience, but as usual, I had trouble winding down after the event. It was well after midnight before I was wound down enough to go to sleep.  This is a problem for me.

I come home from work, take care of the cats, read, do computer stuff, and now physical therapy exercises, and work on winding down.  It takes me two or three hours.  So, when I go out to an activity such as the book club, the Lady Raiders basketball games, or a play, my winding down process just takes that much longer.

I am acutely aware of this, and try to plan accordingly. Including and especially during the work week. But I cannot go to bed and fall asleep if I am not actually at the point of being ready to fall asleep.  This has been true my whole life. Why I think it should change now, I do not know.
