I just came back from my evening walk. What a wonderful thing to be able to do! I really enjoy going for walks.
Tonight, I went a little earlier than I had been going: I was waiting until after 8 PM because the temperatures were in the 90s, and after 8 PM, my neighborhood is heavily shaded, and often breezy. But, tonight, I did not wait. The temperature was 86°, feels like 87°. The air is heavy and still. There are isolated storms in the area, which is overcast. The likelihood of Lubbock getting a storm is small. It was small yesterday, but I did get rain in my neighborhood last night. However, there was less than 1/4" in the rain gauge. There was lots of thunder and lightning around, though. I opened my windows, and while the outside air was cool, there was not enough breeze to blow in and cool down my house, not an unusual phenomenon this time of year.
I will still hope for some breeze and rain, but no severe weather.
