I took a drive tonight, along the Canyon Lakes Parks in Lubbock, From Dunbar Historical Lake (Lake 6) to the Buddy Holly Park and Lake (Lake 1) http://www.mylubbock.us/departmental-websites/departments/parks-recreation/top-navigation-menu-items/parks/attractions http://texastrails.org/traildetail.cfm?id=347.
I am always pleased to see how many people use these parks. There were gatherings all along the way Joyland Amusement Park http://www.joylandpark.com/ was not too busy, but it was too early for the lights, which always makes it look busier. It has certainly expanded since the last time I was there, which was in the late 1980s.
There are a lot of people in Lubbock who use the parks. That is nice.
