The Panhandle South Plains Fair

The Panhandle South Plains Fair http://www.southplainsfair.com/  %20is   is a long time tradition in Lubbock, Texas.  I can not quote to you how many years the fair has been in Lubbock, but it is a tradition.

Some folks do not know that arriving early at the fair means that a person can enter the parking lot, and enter the fair without paying any fees.  I have taken advantage of this for many years, not consistently over the years, but when I have wanted to go to the fair.  From an early age as a child, I could not do rides that involved circling.  I do not care about midway games. But the exhibitions of vendors, animals and food concessions are available about noon or so. So attending the fair mid-day, before parking fees and entrances fees are charges is a great deal! .
