It was cloudy and cool today, and there was a slight drizzle, more of a mist, this afternoon. Tonight, it started raining. Very gently at first, but real rain. Even now, it is raining harder, and seems to be blowing in from the southwest, but that may be a function of the drops coming off the roof.
I have the window on the stoop open, as the rain is not blowing into it. I have an east window and 4 south facing windows open. The rain is not even dotting the window panes.
We have had some rainy and grey days and nights lately. I sleep with the windows locked about 3 inches open. Sometimes, when I awaken, it feels like the pillow cases are damp and cool. I can not tell if they are wet, or just cool and have absorbed the humidity, but I think it is the latter. I do not see moisture on the windows or the window sills.
This rain is a blessing. We need all the moisture we can get.
