I receive daily announcements from Lubbock Daily Deals http://dailydeals.lubbockonline.com/engine/Splash.aspx?contestid=62192. A colleague told me she uses it regularly and finds lots of savings. I get a daily email and look at the topic, but do not click on it.
Until yesterday. The deal was $10 of food for $5 at The Fortune Cookie http://www.fortunecookielubbock.com/index.html, a Chinese food restaurant not far from my house, and between my house and work. Sometimes, when I need a lift, or want something different for dinner, I stop there on the way home. Every time I do, I tell myself I should do so more often. Well, I bought 2 deals, and redeemed one tonight.
On Friday nights I often get something for dinner: at the deli at the yuppie supermarket, or something special to cook. So, tonight, I had Chinese food. And, it was, as always from the Fortune Cookie, good.
I am telling myself I should check out all of the deals, everyday.
