One of the games I am currently doing every day is "The Set Game." Click on http://www.setgame.com/ and go to daily puzzle. You pick three symbols that complete a "set." Three of a kind; three of one of each kind. And each kind comes from either three colors, three shapes, or three fills: solid, striped and empty.
I used to do this regularly, but I sometimes got frustrated. This is sometimes hard for me. And as is true for many daily puzzles, as the week progresses, the difficulty increases, and the weekend challenge level is mid-level. So, I stopped doing this puzzle. Because it frustrated me more than I enjoyed it.
But, I know that to keep my brain alive, I need to keep it challenged. I read a lot. I do a daily crossword, word jumble and sudoku in the newspaper. I do a jigsaw puzzle and sudoku on line. But I was not challenging my brain. The Set Game challenges my brain. I need that. I need to do less on auto pilot and more on challenge.
