Well, i got home a little later than usual, but not that much. I tend to leave work between 5 PM and 6 PM, and the drive home is only about 12 minutes, 15 if the traffic is heavy, and of course, more in bad weather.
So, tonight I had an errand to run, and was home before 6 PM. When I arrived home, there was much racing and chasing among the cats. Sake was slapping and hissing at Taki, and all three cats were racing around the house. As I started feeding, this behavior settled down some, but continued for a while longer. I am not sure what precipitated this behavior. But I see it as a good sign. If Sake feels well enough to take on the other two cats, then she is feeling better. She is reasserting herself as the Queen of the May, if you will.
It was actually quite fun to watch the cats race, chase and scramble. I think they are better off when they are more interactive, even if some of the interaction is not totally friendly. I don't want them to fight, but I want them to assert themselves and stand their ground.
