Going To Bed

I just returned to my house from a short trip out of town.   The first night I was on vacation, I was tired but could not go to sleep. So, I picked up the murder mystery I was reading. I was close to finishing the book, and as it grew closer to the end, I was more and more interested.

So, I did not want to go to sleep until I finished the book. And I did finish the book. I went to bed for a short while, because it was early morning, local time, when I finished the book.  But because of the time difference, I still got a good night sleep.

The next few nights, I was tired local time, tired enough to go to bed and go to sleep.

Some of the problem was a strange bed. Some of the problem was the time change, although, I should have been more tired, not less.

Oh well, I am now home, and I am waiting to get tired enough to go to sleep. You would think that after driving about 12 hours, I would be ready for bed.

But, when I got home, I was not tired.  I emptied the Vue, and put things away.  I got caught up on the mail. The cats had been tended to, which was a blessing, but still, required some attention. But I wanted to be sure I was tended to.  So, I did read the mail, but did not act on it, including paying a bill.

I am grateful I have good help when I am out of town, so that my cats are well tended.
