I slept in Monday morning, not intentionally, but I had trouble falling asleep Sunday night, and since I did not have to go to work Monday morning, I was not too worried about not falling asleep early nor responding to the primary alarm clock, or the secondary alarm on my cell phone.
Haiku and Taki did not disturb me and let me sleep in. A little before 8 AM, I roused enough to get up, but about that time, Haiku came up to me in the bed, burrowed down, and snuggled against me. She wanted to snuggle. So, snuggle we did. I did not know how long this would last, and I did not care; I just enjoyed the opportunity to snuggle and while I was not sleepy, I reveled in the opportunity to lie in. Haiku snuggled for about 40 minutes, and then she moved on.
I decided that was an omen and did not worry about starting my day "bright and early" but took a leisurely approach to feeding the indoor cats, the outdoor cats, and myself, before I started working on my garage door project. I have no regrets.
Amazingly, late afternoon, early evening Monday, I took a nap. And was ready for bed early Tuesday morning. That was good.
