Haiku likes to sit with me if I sit on the sofa. She also sits on the sofa, or sits on an arm of the sofa. Today, I lied on the sofa reading, and she would move from one end to the other, and sometimes just sit on me.
More, and more, she will lie in bed, and cry, until I sit with her and snuggle with her for a while. She usually moves away, and when I leave the bed, she then gets back in bed and sleeps.
I know she does not feel well. She is not eating well, she is not always grooming well, and when I try to help her with mats, she gets irritable, which is not like her. So, I am careful about helping her with mats, and only do a little at a time.
She is a beautiful friend. She does not appear to be in such distress that it is cruel to continue her life. She is just getting old just as am I.
