Ordering Hot Tea

I live in West Texas, and most places that sell refreshments offer iced tea.  Very few places offer hot tea.  The Chinese and oriental restaurants usually offer hot tea.  Some of the coffee shops offer Chai Tea, and herb tea.  Few places offer other types of hot tea.

When I was in the northeast recently, we went to several places that serve food.  My sister would order tea, and specific types of tea at that.  I would also order hot tea. The weather was cold, windy and wet.  Hot tea hit the spot.  We were never turned down.

It is just a different culture.  To be expected.
