I am grateful for national coverage of baseball. That way, teams that I like that are not Texas teams have their games televised. And, when those teams are doing well, the number of their games that are nationally televised increase.
So, I have had the opportunity to watch a lot of Yankee and Red Sox baseball this year. Although, at the beginning of the season, it was predicted that neither team would do well, as with the Red Sox, it is a re-building year, and with the Yankees, they have had so many injuries.
Well, guess what. The Red Sox are leading the American League East, and the Yankees are 3.5 games behind them, and not playing well by Yankee standards! It makes no sense, prediction-wise. But these teams have a tradition and history. It seems when players come to these teams, they step up their game.
Go Red Sox!
Go Yankees!
