I was watching the Texas Rangers http://texas.rangers.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=tex vs. the Boston Red Sox http://boston.redsox.mlb.com/index.jsp?c_id=bos baseball game tonight. Big Papi, David Ortiz, http://mlb.mlb.com/players/david_ortiz/index.jsp hit a "walk off" home run. That was great.
When David Ortiz got to home plate, or shortly there after, he lost his Red Sox jersey, and had his Boston Strong T-shirt on (I suspect it was under his jersey.)
You may remember, the first day that the Red Sox played baseball at home in Boston after the Boston Marathon bombings, David Ortiz addressed the crown http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lf2QGHTxgu0. Big Papi was forgiven for his profanity by the powers that be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lf2QGHTxgu0. And rightly so. Sometimes, we just have to get spitting mad.
I think it is great that several weeks later, David Ortiz is still commemorating the victims and survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings. He is a class act. He has always been a class act.
Yeah, Big PapI!
