I am concerned about Sake. She is a very picky eater these days, and has lost weight. For a long time, I was cooking chicken liver for her. At first, she ate it enthusiastically. Then, not so. At first, I could cook two pounds, and she would eat it. But then, as the two pounds got older, she did not eat it. So, then I cooked one pound at a time. Again, after a while, if the liver was not fresh cooked that day or the next day, she just nibbled at it.
Last Thanksgiving, Sake insisted on getting some Cornish game hen for breakfast one day. So, Memorial Day, I grilled a chicken (beer can chicken). She seemed to really enjoy it. I bought more chicken and just boiled it. At the beginning of the week, she seemed really interested in the chicken. But she is already tired of it.
Today, when I got home from work, she did not come out for dinner. I did not put food out for her, either. Just a few minutes ago, she came looking for me, and I gave her some chicken. I know it's been sitting in the refrigerator for a week, but it is well covered, and still tastes fresh to me. But she is not so interested.
I do not know what to do to keep Sake interested in eating.
