It was another day of grey, foggy dust, and strong winds. Tonight, there is rain in the area, and the radar says we have storms in the area. But it was deathly still a few minutes ago when I looked out. There are dark heavy skies to the south, east and north of my house, and cleared skies to the west. It was a little disconcerting as the sun set. There has been some thunder, but I have not seen lightning flashes.
It is still hot outside, so I think the clouds are retaining any radiational cooling.
I am watching The Weather Channel http://www.weather.com/. I am seeing the reports of flooding in Canada. I know we are under a severe storm watch. We shall see how much rain we get, if any. Let us also hope for minimal wind damage.
