I recently bought a carpet cleaner called Kids and Pets http://kidsnpetsbrand.com/. I am not even sure where I purchased it, but I hope I will come across it again. The website tells me Wal-Mart and K-Mart carries this product. I have a lot of messes to clean up from the cats, and I am also guilty of spillage from time to time.
This product has an interesting cherry-naphtha fragrance. However, naphtha is not listed as an ingredient, and it is supposed to have a citrus scent. Whatever. The point is, I am really pleased with the product. I had two old red wine stains in my living room carpet. I had tried everything on them, at the time of the spill and since. The spill, I will tell, you occurred before 2007.
Well, I was looking at the label last night, and realized this product claimed to clean old stains, including red wine. I tried it on one spot, and it worked. So, today, I did the second spot with the same results.
They advertise a product to stop animals from scratching furniture. If I can find it, I will buy it. My cats have ruined my sofa and futon, but if I can prevent further damage, that would be fine with me.
