So, when I got on my computer this afternoon, I could not download my email. It appeared to be a server problem, but my Internet connection was working just fine. So, I went to the Suddenlink home page http://home.suddenlink.net/ and tried to get into my emails on the website. I have two active accounts and neither one would load emails. That was weird. So, I decided to do some other things and get back to the email problem when I was prepared to call Suddenlink and be tied up on the phone for a while.
Well, when I tried later one, everything worked the way it was supposed to work. That was good!

Thanks for the comment
Thanks for the comment about Norton Anti-virus. I did not mean to imply that the Norton anti-virus was doing anything wrong, because I thought it was doing its job as it should. I realize that when it scans files on my computer, it will shut some down. My comment is directed to the programs that do not recognize my password because my account has been idle for an extended period of time. While I understand the security, it is an inconvenience
to me.
I was trying to comment on the comment, but could not figure out how. Hence, another posting.

Sensitivity
I want something to eat. That was the title of a post I made on May 8, 2015. As I went back and looked at it, I realized how insensitive that was. It was about a cat, a beloved pet to be sure, but a very spoiled, sick cat who is very sure she can ask for choices in food until she gets what she wants. She does not go hungry, unless I cannot figure out her choices. Or unless the infection in her mouth becomes bad enough that she no longer eats, and we have to go to the veterinarian to get another injection, and then she starts eating again.
Today, as I was hearing about the devastation in Nepal from the earthquakes, aftershocks, and aftermath http://edition.cnn.com/2015/05/13/asia/nepal-second-earthquake-ripley/index.html, I realized that my post about Sake and her eating problems was very insensitive. There are people in Nepal who do not have food, who do not know where their next meal will come from, and do not have a safe place to stay for the night or the next day.
I cannot imagine this fragility in lifestyle. It is beyond me. I have made a donation to the Breedlove Dehydration Plant http://www.breedlove.org/ in support of their efforts to provide food for people in Nepal.
I hope you do something to help the people in Nepal, too.

Google, Blogger and Me
A couple of years ago, all of a sudden, I could not access my blog, Joyce's Jabberings. I finally gave up, and re-signed onto Google with a different account, did one Joyce's Jabberings, and created Lisenby Lines.
Well, I have a new computer, and I am trying to set it up. That has been trying and interesting, as the technology and software has changed so much. I am getting used to the Microsoft 8.1 and the touch screen. I have set the default, though, so the computer will open to the desktop instead of the Windows tiles.
As a Texas Tech employ, I have access to discounted and low cost downloads, including Microsoft Office. I checked the other day, and Office 2007 was available and free. Now, it is not on the download list. Oh, well, I can get Microsoft 2010 for $10. I send for it by mail, or go to the library and buy it. I am hoping the media support center will be open this weekend so I can get it.
I decided to open a Microsoft email account, anyway, so I could send stuff to myself. The one thing I wanted to send to myself was the Lisenby Lines access information.
Well, that did not work, because I kept getting my first blog account for Joyce's Jabberings. I worked at it over and over. I kept having to change my password and I just could not get it to work. It took me forever to realize the Lisenby Lines is associated with a different gmail account, and then not quite as long to figure out how to change to that account so I could get to Lisenby Lines.
Well, obviously, I am there, and this is my first blog since June 24, 2014. At first, it was because the other laptop would freeze up too often and for too long. Then, it was because I could not figure out the access problem on this computer. Well, this sight is now favorite placed, so I should be able to come back and post again. Soon!

Sake Watch, Day Three
For the third night in a row, Sake is in the cave in the closet. Last night, I check and there she was. She came out mid-evening, ate some, and lay in the living room. It was obvious overnight that she did some grooming.
She was eager for breakfast this morning, and allowed me to do some grooming. Both of which are good signs. If she does not feel well, she has little tolerance for grooming. She did not eat as much as I would have liked, but she stayed at if for a while.
Tonight, again, she is in her closet cave. It is early and she has not come out to eat. I am concerned of course, but not so worried as to disturb her tonight. And, it was obvious she did more grooming during the day.
I am not sure exactly what is going on. She used to hide under the bed in the spare bedroom a lot. And when I found her spot, she abandoned it for a long time.
I am not sure if she is not feeling well, or trying to get away from the other cats, or what. Hmmmm.

Signing on and Rebooting
So, for some reason I could not sign onto my computer tonight. It took multiple re-boots over an hour and a half before it finally started working correctly. I am not sure why this is. It may be related to the fact that I have Windows XP and have not upgraded to Windows 8.1. But it may be related to something else.
Tonight, this was frustrating but not really a problem for me because I was watching the New York Yankees play the Chicago Cubs. But if there was not something I wanted to watch on TV, or read, I may have been very upset.
At least, now, the computer seems to be working okay.

Did You Ever Wish Today Did Not Happen
I am sure I have had bad days like this before. But early on today, I made a mistake at work that so rattled me, that I felt unhinged the rest of the day. I struggled, and was very careful, and I think what ever I did after that was not up to par, but was passable.
Tonight, as I was working on the computer, I lost a very important file. As it turns out, I had some back up information that I could use to recreate much of the file, and a colleague suggested that since I work for the Texas Tech University, I see if IT can help me to recreate what I need.
I had resolved to work on knitting projects tonight, because I am getting so many orders from work. But the computer file was more important. But stressed me out more.
I wish today did not happen. But that is okay, I am okay, all is well, and life is good.
